This is a timely post. Received resumes last week from several people that turned their nose up at me last year.
Some ghosted me when I sent an email to check in. Others ignored my LinkedIn connection requests. It only takes a minute to respond. I reply to every email, up to 500 a day, and every message on LinkedIn, up to 200 a day, even if it's a polite "no thank you." It's the courteous and professional thing to do.
For the folks that ghosted me, do I have compassion for their situation? I do. Am I going to represent them? I am not.
