Why Don’t Executive Recruiters Call Me Back?

As an Executive Recruiter and business owner, I don't get a salary, bonus, stock options, vacations, sick pay, or paid health insurance. If I don't stay focused on my open jobs and get people placed...I don't eat.

The disappointing part of my job is the executives that could have supported my business and charity work but chose not to. For years. For decades. Did not return my phone calls. Opted out of my newsletter. Dismissed me. PALMS DOWN.

The day they are terminated, here comes the resume with an "ask" for a $500,000 job. Acting like we are long lost brothers. Like I owe them a favor. PALMS UP.

Never forget the two golden rules of executive recruiting.

Executive Recruiters Get People for Jobs…NOT Jobs for People.

The Wrong Time to Meet an Executive Recruiter is When You are Unemployed.
