I'm a Long-Term IGT Employee: Any Recommendations?

sad woman looking at the box that includes all of the items packed up from her work desk.

Just as MGM is the IBM of the casino world, IGT is the IBM of the gaming supplier industry. You might actually retire there.

Anyone that understands how private equity works knows exactly what's coming. Hundreds, if not thousands, will be in the RIF. Most of the layoffs to date seem to be RTO (return to office). The days of remote work are over.

If you are a long-term IGT employee, my recommendation is to ride the pony until it falls over. You might make it through. If not, they should offer you a great package to walk away.

Regardless, life will go on and you'll find another job. I remember when IGT was the clear industry leader. Now they are a distant third to Aristocrat and Light & Wonder.

God, family, freedom, friends. Everything else is a bonus.
